     They say that the book to write is the one that you would like to read, and cannot find anywhere. This is the underlying cause of this book. Since I could not find the kind of textbook that I needed, I decided to write a book to and for myself.

It happened in Richmond, Virginia, where we needed money to pay for our church building. I decided that since I could not ask the people to give more than they were already giving, that I would go to work and earn as much money as possible. My fourteen years of college, majoring in philosophy, seemed almost useless to me now. For, how could I earn a lot of money quickly with philosophy? After my futile search for a book that would help me, I began to set down the dynamic principles found in these pages. I discovered that the ideas and formulas worked. The results were phenomenal.

      I applied for a job in advertising. The President of the company said, "I have just hired three men, today. I don't need any more men." However, he asked, "How much business do you think that you can produce?" I answered, "How much business can the three men produce, whom you hired today?" When he told me what they had promised to produce, I said, "I can produce more business than all three of those men combined." The president hired me on the spot, and from the first day, using the principles of this book, I did more than five times the production of the other three men combined, while maintaining my duties at the church. I say this not as a matter of braggadocio, but only in order to emphasize that God has placed laws of successful production in this world, and if you live according to these laws, you cannot help but be successful.
